Concerto Competition Review

Laura went first for violin, and it was quite good! pretty much the same as in masterclass. but she's good candidate for going first, cuz she has a really good performing style. :D yiay laura!
fran and shannon, you guys suck for missing James' performance, it was really good! he was so into it :D he didn't get to play the entire concerto though, which sucks, cuz the ending's the best part.
Melissa: OH MY GAWD. i swear, tihs girl is gonna be famous one day, her performance totally blew me away. she was the first one to really stick out. supppppppperrrrr!! i wish all of you could've been there for it. soooo good!!! i love melissa, she's awesome :D
Justin's: okay, first of all... Justin looked HOT (!!) in his suit. whooo!! fran was like "you wanted to jump him, didn't you?" and i was like, "damn right!" too bad justin's kind of an asshole. bah... but soooo hot!! his performance was good, but i think he was one of the weaker ones, playing-wise, in the group. sorry justin.
Caitlan's piece was quite good, cept she forgot a huge chunk of her music. it's okay... her chords were really good though.
Laurissa was so cute! her facial expressions were really interesting to look at. she was the only one who actually smiled while playing. granted, not all the time, but whenever she could. it was cute. her chords were awesome as well. yiay!
Lauren: .... yeah, it was good.
Katie: yiay katie! i'm so proud of her, she got over her stage fright, and actually played really well. :)
I thought Liz played better in masterclass than she did in the compeition. but nonetheless, it was still awesome.

during the break i went to the MOFO and listened one one piano competitors. i didn't know her, but she played awesome. went back upstaires for CELLOS!!!!

holy mutha fucka... everyone was awesome! i never go to cello masterclasses, so i never hear them play. im not gonna review everyone like i did violins, but a few people definately stood out in my mind. okay... shut up, music people, cuz no matter what you say, Andres was sexy when he played his piece. OMG. he was like sooo into it, and i honestly didn't even know he could do that! whoa..... Lucas' piece was crazy fast! and he did it so well too! i've never heard Lorna play, and honest to god, my jaw dropped when she started. she can frickin play that thing! hollleee... and Andrea's piece was sad, and she played it so well, i almost cried. awww... oh man... they were sooo awesome. cellos are sooo sexy. i wish i played the cello.

i practised for two hours after dinner today. it was pretty discouraging, cuz after listening to such awesome music, i really fuckin suck. bah. i just can't do those stupid staccatos!! *wah* why the hell am i even here. what the hell. argh...
