wow, it's been a wicked couple of days. i actually did have my internet, but i just never had time to post anything.
Anyways, i think i'll just tell you about my one wicked day. It was yesterday. i got up at 5:45am to get ready to go to that Business Career fair thingy Bernard's sister told me about. i was pretty nervous, because this was the first time i've associated myself with anything business. I dressed carefully, fixed my hair and everything. i was really sleepy on the subway though. anyways, i got there early, and didn't know anyone except Audrey (Bernard's sister). so i stood around til someone gave me something to do. after stuffing envelopes with names tage, i went along with a couple of other volunteers to get ready for the many seminars that were about to take place. i got a nice golf shirt, with their logo and stuff on it, and also my name tag. i was the doorperson/greeter in one of the MANY rooms at the Royal York (hahah French class in gr.9). i talked to the speaker, whose name was Peter Ebner (i think, that's his last name). and he was going to talk about Negotiating skills for a Higher Profit. not exactly interesting, but during the actual seminar, where he made his presentation to about 40 Attendants (all business people. mostly adults) i listened and actually learned a lot. they are really knowledgable and it's so interesting talking to them cuz they know so much. it was actually quite fun. after the seminar, i went downstaires for lunch, and met some of Audrey's friends from Waterloo. they were all older than me (as was everyone else in the whole event) but we talked and got along pretty good. even some of the staff, who were adult were easy and fun to talk to. me and three of Audrey's friends sat at this booth at the Career Fair for like 2 and a half hours! all we did was go around and get free stuff nad sit there and look at our free stuff. LOL! well, there was this guy, Audrey's friend, and he kept taking my phone. he was like "i want this phone!" and then some guys from another company and booth came over and talked to us. one of them, i forgot his name, he was a real bitch. so annoying! and he kept calling me the "Little One". grrr... but it was alright. he left. anyways, i left at 4:30, after attending one of the seminars halfway about careers in Singapore. i went home to get ready for Lili's party.
i don't think i'm gonna type the whole party on my blog, since many of you who are reading this were there. but yea, Mar was there, it was such a nice surprise! her hair was beautiful as always, if not, better (since she curled it). heh heh. and it was just really nice seeing everyone again. Jamie was there and i asked him when he arrived, and he was like, at 6, and i was like "why didn't you drive me?!" (cuz he lives like a block away. and Jon was like "i know!!" (cuz he lives a block away too). so....oh well! it was fun catching up news with people, and not once did Mar and I talk about our beloved Harry Potter. haha there were other more important matters to discuss. tee hee! anyways, we had barbecue for dinner, thanks to Lil's family! and the cake the 5 guys made was actually very yummy! i wished i could've tasted the chocolate though. but gotta love the icing! at first i was really reluctant to eat it, because of the video. but it was hilarious, so...yup. it was nice of them to bake. Brian's company of hamsters were, i think, the most entertaining gifts of all! lol! so cute! we signed yearbooks, exchanged numbers, and just sat around taking pics. i left at 11:45, since Karen needed to get home before midnight. so we left, but not without ton of hugs and bye's and pictures. it was truly a memorable evening. (if you're reading this, Lil, THANKS!!)
