it went...... well. i don't think i got anything higher than an 80 though, which really sucks. but hopefully in the 70's range. but i tend to jinx myself, so i'll stop talking now.

i had a lesson yesterday, and met Trevor, Jeremy's friend the bowmaker. it was interesting. got some new music... he didn't let me play Prelude in Allegro (or something along the lines... i don't remember the exact title, but whatever) becuz he said other people are already playing it and he doesn't want everyone to be playing it. booooourns. anyway, halfway thru the lesson, DAN the guitar man interrupted!! lol...he's hilarious... amazingly talented, but hilarious. so... that was interesting.

anywhoo...i missed cheryl's, jeff's and pete's concert last night, becuz i didn't know how to get there. :( oh well... but good phone convos with Emilia and AIR-ICK! HHAHAHA good times...

jeremy emailed me back yesterday, whoohoo! i have a lesson tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. he also invited me to be in this photo shoot for the WLU music brochure, but that's not gonna happen anymore. apparently, they've got too many people. oh well.

soooo that concert was somethin, huh! amy justin catherine and liz were aaaawesome! buti gotta say, my fav was that first quartet, i dun remember their name. and Black Angels: awesome! i never actually heard of them before, but they were really good. i could feel the energy! the bow against the gong was....interesting... shivers up my spine! eeee! anywhoo, after the concert, katherine (viola/violin) hung out at my place for a bit, then back to her place. her kitty was soooo cute! teehee! and then we drove over to Jerzy's to par-tay! so fun! met some of the Black Angel's players and also players from the other quartet. paul came a little bit before katherine and i left, so that kinda sucked. but all in all, a great night. :)

today has been quite productive, to say the least. i was on the phone for like half an hour talking to this Bell customer service woman. i don't think i'll get cable/ tv til maybe july or august, which really sucks, becuz i will be missing a helluva lot of DC episodes. anyway... i went grocery shopping, bought a shitload of food. after eating, went over to school to study. saw james, melissa and a bunch of other music ppl. they were on break from Quartet-fest. apparently, they have a concert this weekend. i wanna gooo! we'll see though. anywhoooo... um... yea. i don't have anything else interesting to post, except that i read Yuen's and Mar-bear's reviews of PoA and i wanna post one of my own.

excellent review, Mar, even though it was pretty long!

things i disliked:
1) wtf is with all the romantic bits?! H/R was pretty cute at first, but then H/Hr?! ok, Hermione is a skank. (yes, yes, i'm a skank. hahaha!!) not cool. and neither the hand holding with ron, nor the loving/fearful embrace with harry were in the books. i was sorely disgusted at Emma's acting. and she looked pretty skanky too, at the NYC premier...

2) Lupin, Lupin Lupin... what can i say? other than the fact that he was TOTALLY NOT what i pictured him to be. i pictured lupin to be shaggier... not as skinny. and the werewolf transformation itself was nicely done, but the werefold was waaaayyyy too scrawny. it did NOT look like a werewolf. it didn't even look like much of a dog!

3) i agree with u mar, what is WITH those bonding moments between Lupin and Harry?! and where the hell did that bridge come from?

4) yes, i laughed my fuckin ass off with the Titanic= Harry on Buckbeak scene! HAHAHAH!!! oh man!! that part is totally out of proportion. hilarious!

5) i liked Malfoy... til now. ok, that scene where Herm pointed the wand at him, his face IMMEDIATELY screwed up and looked as if he was gonna die at any second. Malfoy is a WUSS.

6) WORMTAIL/PETER PETTIGREW. NEED I SAY MORE?

7) so many parts of the movie were out of order, esp the part with the firebolt. WHAT THE FUCK?! that was weird. the boys eating candy in the dormitory was hilarious as well, what kind of candy was that? i don't recall any that made u act like an aminal.

8) yes, the Marauder's map and it's significance and who drew it was not explained, and for one who have not read the books, it would be terribly confusing. how would Lupin know the secret words for revealing the map's contents, but not Snape? and remember, they were supposed to pretend it was from Zonko's.

things i liked:

1) THE WEASLEYS!! one of my favourite parts of the movie was Fred and George explaining the map to harry, ending each other's sentences and whatnot. exactly how i pictured them to be! omg RON!!! he's growning up pretty cool, eh? i remember in the first two movies, i didn't like him as much, just becuz he as always scared shitless and stuff.

2) the overall cinmatic difference with this movie compared to the last two. overall, it was much darker and all the actors grew into their roles.

3) A lot of the new actors turned out well! Michael Gambon was a great Dumbledore! i liked him much more than Richard Harris, RIP. He has this special stage presence that Richard Harris didn't have, i thought. Emma Thomson did a great job as well, especially with those glasses. hahaha! i always pictured her to look like some sort of grasshopper though.... don't ask.

4) yes, Mar, i agree, the scene in the Shrieking Shack with the trio was awesome! something you don't see in HP films often.

ok i planned on writing a nice long post, and even tho i'm pretty tired and this keyboard is shitty, i'll do my best.

friday: didn't work at all on friday, it was awesome! so i sacrificed my Dawson's Creek to go to stc early and get HP tickets, only when i got there, i found out that the theater opened at 12! crap, mian... oh well, i bought a nice summer dress, so it wasn't completely a waste of time. i bussed home, watched like half a hour of DC, then bussed back to stc to buy the tix, then bussed home. worked on my cape, finished it!, did some psych reading, did the fuckin chapter exam, then got ready to go to the movie. anyways, i didn't wear the hat and only changed into the cape when i got there cuz i didn't wanna look like a freak on the bus. anywhooo... when i got there it was only me, yuen and dil, so we waited for mar, and then stood around talking. and while we were waiting for mar, dil and i asked some lady if they gave out any HP posters, but sadly, no. anywhoo... then we started lining up. it was crazy! it was like... 5:45ish at the time. and we were really close to the front of the line, so that's good. i saw a bunch of aci kids there... gr,9's (jess, i think... i can't tell her and alison apart, and may, ramy's sister, and some other girl...) and some gr.12's (abby, james from band, and his friends) so then we were in line, mar and i decided to go get food, so we did, and apparently we took a long time cuz when we got back, the line was going in the theater! crap! but yuen and dil saved us seats. yiay! so then mar and i got in the thater and started eating and yuen and dil went to get food. carmen arrived about 10 minutes prior to the movie, and 5 minutes before 7, yuen and dil came back. and yes, we got awesome seats! the movie itself was pretty good, in the beginning. a LOT of parts were hilarious! oh man... not even joking! and the ending was so messed up. oh well... but this movie was a bit darker, and some cinematic stuff were better than the last two. but honestly, for a hardcore HP fan, no movie is ever good enough. so, yes. that's all i'll say on that. after the movie, carmen and i left early so get to the lcbo and then to mike's house. i was still wearing my cape and indeed got a lot of stares. hahaha! whoops?

anywhoo.. back to the story...
so carmen and i spent a while in the lcbo cuz i couldn't make up my mind on what to get. i finally settled on this wildberry thing (it was really good, actually!) so then we walked to mike's place, and all these ppl were there, it was nice. well, it's the usual, so.. meh. well, actually, to be quite honest, i wasn't totally comfortable with some people who were there, but meh, whatever, right? malargret arrived and she hung around me...haha i probably made her super bored. carmen ran off for a while along with smitty, so then me, marg, laura, her bf i don't know his name, and this new guy i met...edrick or however u spell it, started chatting about HP. it was awesome... anywhoo... fast forward.... kaveh, marcus and monroe showed up... kaveh tried speaking spanish to me, but failed. can't blame the guy. but it was great seeing them, haven't seen them since commencement. anywhoo... some other stuff happened, matty offered me a joint (and for obvious reasons, i declined), and then i got drunk, MARK MCISSAC showed up! (YAY!) i talked to matty, and then emilia (and she talked a lot...let me tell ya) and then stuff happened and then carmen, smitty and i took a cab home. carmen's futon is pretty comfy, to be honest. haha yea... it was fun.. i haven't slept over at someone's place for a while. carmen and i talked for a while and i thought i left my cell at mike's buuuuuut...

saturday: 10am, and my phone rings. wait.... my phone is ringing... my phone is here?! omg! i scramble out of bed and try to look for it. it took me a while, and i missed the call. the phone was under carmen's pooh bear. oh maaannn... well, at least my head wasn't spinning anymore. we got up, changed and made pancakes for breakfast. it was fun! we had to make enough for carol (carm's sister) and her dad too. and then i got a ride to work .yay. about 3:45ish, i took a break and carmen came by stc to do errands, so we walked around and i didn't know anna (luong) worked at Pegabo, so we went in and chatted for a bit, i was late getting back to work, but joanna, the girl i worked with, didn't care. she's a cool girl, but i think she's a dyke. but it really doesn't matter, cuz she's really nice. :) so anyways, carmen left to buy cds and then mark came by! i called carmen really quick to get her ass back to culturers so she can see him, so she came and saw him! hahaha yup. then ronell came by and they left soon after that. after work, i went out to dine with my mum, since my brother was camping and my dad still at work.

sunday (today): i was planning on moving my siht early in the morning, or early afternoon, but nope. didn't start driving back til like, 4pm. wnet out to lunch. that took a while, since when we were there, some family friends called us up, and joined us. after lunch, dropped by dad at home and my mom and i made our way to Canadian Tire so pick up Eric. cuz he's giving me his tv set for waterloo.

thanks eric! still no cable though... no DC for me.. i'm a nurd. oh well. but thanks anyway! luuuurve ya!

anywhoo.... after we drove eric home, we went home and started packing everything. thanks to my dad's huge ass van, i loaded everything, even my bed, and a mattress, and all my shit. :) drove to waterloo, took a long time to unload, since we had to wipe the dust, build the dining table and the bed, put up shower curtains, all that jazz. went to dinner, then back. they left, i started unpacking stuff. it was a bit intimidating in the house all by myself. eric's tv only has one channel working, since i have no cable yet. anywhoo... and now i'm here, and i'm FINALLY done tihs fuckin goddamn post, and i can go to bed. good riddance!

so i just finished the long talk with the parentals... so much shit went down. i told my mom how i just have to cool down, i just want our relationship to be better and she said all this shit about if i leave there won't BE any relationship or whatever... she doesn't know what the fuck she is saying... honestly.. anyway... lots more talking... tears on my behalf, and... yeah. i don't really wanna talk about it here, but if you really wanna know, ask me personally.
