i watched The Grudge 2 with warren and yiew wah and their friend ( i dunno his name) last night. the original japanese version. (well, the 2nd one hasn't come out in regular theaters). omg, soooo fuckin scary!! haha yiew wah was scared to go to the bathroom by herself. anyway, i was so scared after the movie that i stayed for another hour and a half before i went home. *sigh*... im a loser. hahaha! but i convinced warren to come to the Kreisler concert with me on sunday (well, i didn't have to convince him, i just asked him to go with me, and he's like, okay..)!! yiay! omg, im sooo excited! kreisler rocks! i wanna see what my fellow violinists came up with. hahaha according to etelka, there's gonna be a slideshow too, and i know melissa and some other people are gonna be playing little kreisler pieces. hee hee!

concerto competition today!!! yiiiaaayyy!! im so excited about hearing everyone play!! i was just talking to james on the way here to the CAI lab, and he was telling me how he thinks he has the stomach flu or something. and he's not ready. bah, i say! he was sooooo good in masterclass the other day! im super excited about hearing the cellos though. ohh man.. cellos are fuckin sexy! why isn't joni glidden in the concerto competition? bah! pretty much every other cello is though. and 10 out of the 18 violins are. yyyiiiiaaayyyy!

anyways, im gonna go grab some food and work on my damn theory assignment. ta-ta!

i got my violin back! oh, it's so precious! it's sooo pretty! Mark cleaned it for me (it's so shiney now!) and fixed all the cracks and new sound post and nut. :D! i was short $13, but he said it was okay. i'm gonna pay him back still, but... not today. haha.. i seriously need a job. im gonna be broke soon... what with all the violin repairs and guitar stuff and new rep... bah! anyway... i'd better park my ass in the practise rooms and play Guido. hahaha that sounds so dirty. oh well. anyways... i'm off!

i'm in the CAI lab right now. i'm so stupid, i wanted to do my macgamut, but i didn't even bring the cd. paahhh... so i reformatted and printed off my psych notes (i was like two pieces of papers short, and this guy using the computer beside gave me paper) and now i'm just killing time. skills was hilarious today. vandenberg was late, so james took over our class. sooo funny. fran got detention. ha ha! omg, vandenberg was so cute today in class. lol what a nurd... seriously. when he made that mistake and said oops, it was the most cutest thing... haha oh mann... he looked so embarassed.

the noon concert today was alright... cello improv. kevin fox's vocals was quite good! sorry, but nick storring's was meh. *shrug*... anywhoo, after the concert fran came upstaires and WE JAMMED!!! omg, it was so much fun! :D!! we were jammin to Eleamor Rigby and Hey Jude... :D! and then Elena arrived with people to look at the house. fucker. me fran and tracy were like 'who's in our house?" cuz we were all upstaires. and elena was like "yeah, i phoned and told ian about it."

music formal was alright. it was fun getting ready. the actual formal wasn't as good as i hoped it would be, but everyone was hot! i was pretty much ready to leave by 11. meh. i stuck it out... and then found out string people (kat, ivan, amy and laura) were going to melissa's place. so i ditched people and went with them. i loooove hanging out with orchestra people (and dan of course). oh man.... dan- i'm sooooo sorry!! bah. so justin, dan and i were standing in the kitchen with tom, heather, brandon and them, and justin and dan were smoking this huuuuge joint. and justin was like smoking right in my face, so i waved the smoke away from my face, and i accidently (!) whacked the ashes off in dan's face. ohhh maannn... i feel SOOOOOO bad about it! :( and then dan started being a bitch to me (in a jokingly way) and kept telling everyone how he's blind in his right eye because of me. meh! and melissa, who was playing a gig in guelph came home right when we were about to leave. but at least we got to see her! :) all in all, it was a night with a good ending, and i love good endings.

ok, yesterday's (wednesday) lecture by Law Wing-Fai, and the Chinese new music concert was fucken AWESOME!! granted, i'm not keen on new music, but this one was actually pretty good! Wong Ching joined members of ICE and Jeremy for a group improvisation. it sounded pretty cool. :D while Law Wing-Fai was lecturing (before the new music concert), i suddenly thought.... what if he's related to Janice? ha ha... i never got to ask him. oh well. i congratulated Wong Ching though. in mandarin too (cuz she doesn't know any Eng-uh-lish-oo)! *grin* that's right... ha ha ha! she's so shy... it's almost cute!

anywhoo... yeah. oh, my MT audition's on the 24th. argh!!! so not ready for it!!! bah. i practised my piano/singing piece yesterday though.... it still sucks a lot, but it's coming along.... kinda.

- gee-tar was fun today!! i forgot all my kids' songs... dammit. gotta find one tonight.

- OMFG-- Music at Noon today was fuckin amazing! it's like one of those moments when i actally felt connected. *heart!* :D!! oh man... seriously though, it was really good. after the first zheng performance, dwight was like, holy crap! that was awesome! and then this old lady who sat beside me (and was late) was like (after the yangquing performance), wow! too bad i missed the first one! hee hee... but yeah, the yangquing (ha ha nice translation) performer was awesome! i know how hard that is to play, and she did soooooo well. the erhu man was really good too! (cept, no offense, i've heard better.... but still!! he was good!!) maaannn..... overall, such a great performance. i love noon concerts!

- practising was productive today. :D

- okay masterclass went actually really well today. probably becuase so many people played today, it didn't make me sleepy. hee hee
