- met carment at stc
- subway'ed to new tribe... i got my quote for my tat... carmen set an appt.
- ate lovely street meat by the fountains at queen and bay, then eaton center for cameras
- called jordan too many times
- gave our leftover fries to a scary homeless man who wouldn't leave us alone ("thanks... i'll eat them when i'm hungry")
- kate called! we never met up til the parade started like an hour later
- lots of people.... but not as much as last yr's
- i bought a flag!
- pushed our way to the front. whoooo
- kate, mikey, and kate's bf showed!!!!! yaayyyy
- took pictures
- chilled behind apartment buildings
- kate and bf left
- me carm and mike met up with .... emily (?)... and some other people i don't know.
- bumped into none other than bubble-butt (i'm NOT even kidding. carm was with me... we were like "hey! what's up?" and then i was like "um... okay i have to go.")
- called nique but she couldn't join us, and i thought laura ann and damien were gonna join, but they never did... and we left.
- went to some back alley for a j... with random people. it was pretty cool though
- left... took a pic with hot dragqueens
- back to scarbro... chilled at mike's... called up smitty
- jack astor's for dinner... it was sooo awesome (it was so loving! i kept wanting to say it, but contained myself)

so i came back to TO last night. it was great, i missed the city. even the air smells different! ahhhh lovely polluted downtown air! :D

went to center island today with my mum. cuz my brother's in the dragon boat race team with his school. it was fun! i didn't see thier school compete, but there were sooo many others! i saw ken, the guy i went to china with. he was on the Hakka team. and UofT had like 5 teams. ugh... over achievers. heheh! macmaster's team had a really good banner! it said " Holy Mac Row" lol it's so cheesy that it's funny
i couldn't find UW's team cuz we wanted to look for this family friend of our's who's there. but we couldn't find them. umm... and then when we took the ferry back, i bumped into natalie and wendy (from highschool). i haven't seen them in so long, but meh. and then while we were waiting to get off the ferry, i heard someone calling my name, so i looked around, and there was warren!!! YAY! awww i haven't seen him in so long! he was with some guy... lol... i told him to chill with me tomorrow, during the day, and he's like, "what's tomorrow?" so i'm like "the pride parade!" and he automatically was like "nooo!!!" :( and then i asked him why, it would be fun! and he was like "i have no pride" bah... oh well. oh, and he was making conversation with my mom in chinese... bah. warren's so fob. heheh

anywhoo! yes, i'm excited for pride!! i just got off the phone with carmen,and we're planning great things! yaaayyyy!!!

i have about 24 hours to write my essay.. whoo hoo! i procrastinate way too much. but it works. :)

last MT session today was fun. i took lots of pictures and all the little kids were like "ooo light!" cuz my flash was on. haha...

to make a long story short, because i REALLY can't think right now....
me fran and beth went to morty's last night then they forgot their housekeys and were locked out. so they slept over at my place, and fran slept in my room on the floor and we had the most intense deep conversation. we slept at 7am this morning. it made us depressed and reflect. and then we spent two hours talking about what names we like and not like. it was hardcore. and soooo funny! hee hee

but i really have to start my essay today. fuck.

friday night's concert with Atar Arad was crazy good! went to the huether afterwards, and then the starlight. jeremy came with us!! omg, it was weird... dancing with your studio teacher. hahaha! but it was lots of fun! oh, and dan and ruth aren't coming to the american idol concert anymore :( boooourns. well anyway.. the starlight was fun. then eric and cheryl walked me home.

yesterday's quartetfest concert was the shit. the hyperion quartet was crazy good!! omg!! i could feel all this energy around them while they were playing, and they had such a good chemistry between all of them. kat mrmak was sitting beside me and she was telling me how she played that piece before but it was like twice as slow. awww...

anyway... last q-fest concert this afternoon!! i'm le excited! i think the party tonight's gonna be at Christine's, but i'm not sure. we'll see. i might not even go.

i bonded with my roommate yesterday. hahaha... well, i came home from work early cuz i got cut (there were too many people working already) so i came home, and after i showered i just chilled with my roomie
and he was watching Scream. and then his friend came over and they were pre-drinking for phil's, so i hung out with them. it was really entertaining. my roommate is a funny drunk! lol... his friend's cool too. they kept talking about these girls from thier highschool. so i zoned out a little bit. heh heh.. anyway...

i need to study before the concert, so i'm outtie.

i woke up this morning to find that my roommate was still home. i asked him why he wasn't at work, and then he told me that he got injured and his boss was stupid becasue he didn't want to pay for his injuries at work and didn't give him insurance forms to fill out til today. and he also repeated several times that his boss was a jackass. i agreed with him. then i picked up the laundry from last night, and he went out the door.

i'm in the CAI lab. bumped into cute mike, and he told me that he was going to work. but aren't we supposed to have a rehersal in ... *checks time*... 9 minutes?? hmmmm..... i don't think he's gonna be at the rehersal. steve was supposed to call everyone but i guess he didn't. dammit! i wish i had work, so i don't have to be at this rehersal. i don't like it very much. bah. bah!! what are we gonna do without cute mike?? he is our percussionist! argh...

anyway.....

im the CAI lab... stupid bunny chewed my charger cord last night. argh! so i can't use my laptop anymore til i get it fixed. lovely.

it's soooo hot. my neck has been acting up again. stupid allergies + playing violin.
i went to The Sound Post yesterday, t'was fun! i got my bow fixed! now the metal thingy won't poke me! yiay. got a new set of strings, they sound awesome. new strings rock! except when they go out of tune. ah well. AND i finally got the Bartok music!! yyeeeaaahhh!! i started playing it last night hahaha.. had to stop every two minutes to tune my violin. some of the movements are actually pretty hard! practise!

mmm.. i smell like babies. hee hee... two more weeks of MT left! awww.... baby Alice learned to crawl and pull herself up! awwww.... she's so cute! babies in their summer outfits are frickin adorable! hee hee! andrew cried a lot this morning. but when he came in, there were books on the floor, and he promptly picked one up, plopped on my lap and opened the book and made me read to him. it was so cute, mian. hahaha *heart*

haven't been to the gym in a week! oh man... my biking is gonna to suck the next time i go. ah well...

mimi zweig's workshop is tomorrow. i really want to go, and both jerzy and jeremy suggested i should go. but i don't want to pay 30$ for it. dammit!! celtic band rehersal tomorrow too. bah. ... i kinda wanna quit that thing. it's soo... silly. argh.

ok i just got back from the second faculty concert of quartetfest.. PSQ and Anya Alexeyev. all i have to say is: best fuckin concert i've been to in a while!! seriously, it was awesome. Anya only played in the last piece: Cesar Franck Piano Quintet in F minor. it was intense! according to Christine's blurb about the piece, it's supposed to be romantic and lovey dovey. and it certainly was, especially in the first mov't. the second and third were just more intense than lovey dovey. but sooooooo good!!

the first half of the concert was really really well done as well. not surprisng, haha. the three miniatures (Penderecki, Kurtag and Part), i liked more than the Berg (sorry!) the one that started with Simon's pizzicato was probably my favourite out of the three. yiaaayyy!

anyway... overall, great concert! smiles and applause all 'round!!

it's been a while since i posted... but it really wasn't that long...

what i've been up to:

- Trio Arbos concert: very good. lots of interesting sounds
- party at jeremy's (super fun!)
- stupid guys *rolls eyes*
- Trio Arbos masterclass (not as great as i thought it would be, but it was still good)
- working out with fran and bethany!
- ushering! omg, i work more than once every two weeks! score!
- meeting with Jeremy... yiay he let me play the Bartok Romanian Dance!!
- working for Attitudes in Dance -- kids were soo cute! but not their slutty costumes!! wow... i would never allow my 6 yr old to wear skanky clothes like that, even if they're costumes!
- music therapy sessions: so great! i'm really getting more comfortable with the kids and their parents as well. yesterday, the youngest baby's mom let me hold her. omg, she was sooo little! she's so cute! *heart* and the little toddlers from the first group are hilarious, cuz they can actually walk around, but they keep bumping into each other. haha
